Restriction in relation with plant-derived compounds of cosmetics in accordance to applicable law regulations

Summary
The problems of cosmetic products safety have fundamental meaning for cosmetics consumers. An usage of ingredients of cosmetic preparations which are beneficial and are not dangerous for health is assured by home legislative solutions (based on obligatory European Union regulations). A results of many interdisciplinary research including substances used in cosmetics allow to create and update a list of ingredients, which are subjected to usage restriction. The most often case of the absolute prohibition (for use particular substance in cosmetics) are known toxic activity (not only connected with skin, but with other organs also). The restriction concerns content or concentration of particular ingredient in final cosmetic product is usually a result of potent ability of specific compound to provoke irritations or hypersensitivity reactions. An usage of restricted substances may be prohibited or allowed, subject to comply with appropriate conditions (usually connected with concentration in final product). Many of plant material and its constituents are included by mentioned restrictions. A cosmetic raw material derived from plants, covered by quantitative limitations, allowed for usage in cosmetic according to certain conditions are within the scope of this paper.
