Analysis of the composition of body wash gels for men

Summary
Introdution. The subject of the undertaken work resulted from the increase in the sale of cosmetics intended for men together with customers´ focus on cosmetics that do not contain controversive ingredients.
Aim. Analysis of shower gels for men available on the Polish market in terms of ingredients, their functions and the presence of debatable ones, the use of which is limited by appropriate regulations.
Material and methods. 14 body wash gels purchased in hypermarkets and drugstores. Analysis of gels for components, their functions and the presence of constituents with constraints based on the CosIng base.
Results and conclusions. Components with limited use from different functional groups according to the Regulation of the European Parliament and Council (EC) No. 1223/2009 of November 30, 2009 on cosmetic products were observed in every analyzed gel.
