This compounds appear in ionic form, what makes them soluble in water and have influence on their weak penetration through lipid barrier which is epidermis. In order to check the extent of permeation of amino acids through our skin, the experiments were carried out, both in vivo and in vitro. They demonstrated that amino acids itself, only remotely penetrate through stratum corneum. Also the influence of penetration enhancers and iontophoresis was tested. This study were designed to show how can we increase transdermal penetration of amino acids. Key words: amino acids, cosmetology, skin, percutaneous penetration, stratum corneum |
