Androgenetic alopecia occurs in approximately 50% of Caucasian men. Its main cause is testosterone and dihydrotestosterone. In the initial phase, there is a thinning and loss of hair in the frontal area, and successively at the top of the head. It causes complexes for many men who seek help in beauty and trichology salons. Aim. Assessment of the effectiveness of the microneedle mesotherapy treatment in the area of the male scalp affected by the problem of significant hair thinning at the top of the skull. Materials and methods. A 29-year-old man with androgenic alopecia in the top of the scalp underwent microneedle mesotherapy treatments. The patient underwent 6 treatments with a roller with needles length of 0.3 mm at weekly intervals. Results. After 6 microneedle mesotherapy treatments, the patient´s hair condition improved. The size of the alopecia area decreased and the hair loss process was inhibited. Conclusion. Micro-needle mesotherapy is a safe and effective method of stimulating the growth of new hair.
