Evaluation of sensitivity and condition of the skin with aging symptoms during and after phonophoresis with the hydrogel containing bilberries

Summary
Aim. The evaluation of sensitivity and condition of the skin with aging symptoms during and after phonophoresis with the usage of hydrogel containing the water extract of bilberries was the purpose.
Methods. The group of 30 females was subjected to the studies. Hydrogel containing bilberries was applied for 5 weeks twice a week with the usage of phonophoresis. The evaluation of skin condition before and after the treatments was made with the usage of Beauty Scope machine and on the anamnesis and inquiry basis.
Results. During and after 10 treatments there were no objective symptoms of irritation among examined women. All women evaluated the treatment effects positively. Skin tension and moisture improvement occurred. An effect of the treatment was significant wrinkles shallowing.
Conclusions. Hydrogel containing bilberries fulfilled the expectations connected with the skin condition improvement. Applied into the skin during phonophoresis it showed anti-wrinkles and moisturizing properties. It did not caused skin irritation.
