"Orange peel" symptom or "cottage cheese" symptom are a colloquial terms for a defect of the skin which is cellulite. It is characterized by unaesthetic lumpy-bumpy changes occurring especially in women parts of the thighs, hips, buttocks and abdomen. Despite the fact that cellulite is mainly a cosmetic problem, it is a growing trouble for middle-aged mature women, but also for teens. Aim. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of a series of 10. treatments vacuum therapy to reduce the degree of cellulite and body contouring. Materials and methods. The study was conducted on a group of 20 women aged 20-52 years. Treatments of a vacuum therapy took place 2 times a week for 5 weeks (10 sessions). The duration of each treatment was 40 minutes. Before and after a series of 10 treatments were selected circuits body measurements, weight, height, and the severity of cellulite. Additionally, after the end of treatment were assessed satisfaction with the results obtained by questionnaire. Results. After a series of 10 treatments vacuum therapy mean reduction was all circuits 1.14 cm, and the largest differences were found in circuits around the hips, and the smallest in the ankle area. Cellulite has been reduced by an average of 0.65 degrees. Conclusions. Vacuum therapy can help in getting the body circumference reduction and can also influence reduction of cellulite.
