The body of the bedbug is heavily flattened with small dimensions.. Its activity is observed at night, mainly in living quarters, in mattresses, floor gaps, etc. The main source of food is human and animal blood, therefore, the mouth organ of the bedbug is piercing-sucking. Recently, there has been an increase in bugs by bugs as a result of the development of tourism and the immunization of the parasite. These changes occur in groups, but they are arranged linearly. The bites are not painful, and the main symptoms are clots, blisters and wheals. The changes are of an allergic nature. The basis for the diagnosis is the interview with the patient, as well as the presence of bedbugs in the rooms (traces of faeces). The basis of therapeutic treatment are corticosteroids used for a period of 2 weeks. It should also be remembered to use insecticide preparations in rooms where the bedbug has been found. The following work is a review, presenting the general characteristics of bed bugs, risk factors for bites, the most common symptoms and therapeutic methods. Key words: bedbug, parasite, bite |
