Summary
Introduction. Cavitation peeling is one of the types of peelings available on the cosmetics market. It is classified as physical, very delicate and superficial peels. It is recommended for practically everyone, even people whose skin is very sensitive and prone to irritation. Indications for the procedure within the facial skin include in the first place shallow wrinkles, calloused epidermis, dry and dull skin, pigmentation disorders, the so-called smoker´s skin, sallow skin color and numerous blackheads.
Aim. The aim of the study was to assess the satisfaction with the cavitation peeling procedure applied to the face and the frequency of the application of this procedure in a group of beauty salon clients.
Material and method. The survey was conducted in a group of 100 women who underwent a cavitation peeling treatment in beauty salons. The age of the respondents at the time of the survey ranged from 23 and 47 years old.
Results. The surveyed women underwent a cavitation peeling procedure most often once every 2-3 months or 2 times a month. During the procedures, the vast majority of women felt relaxed and rested. Most of the respondents noticed positive effects on the skin after the procedure. The main purpose of the procedure was to reduce the rough, callous epidermis. This goal has been achieved by the vast majority of women. The women subjected to the test assessed their level of satisfaction with the procedure mostly very positively and would recommend it to their friends and relatives.
Conclusions. 1. Over half of the surveyed women assess the level of satisfaction with the effects after cavitation peeling very highly. 2. Most surveyed women undergo ultrasound peels once every two to three months, as well as twice a month. 3. The most common reason for performing cavitation peeling was the reduction of rough, callous epidermis. 4. The vast majority of women think that smoother skin is the immediate effect obtained after the procedure.
