Pol J Cosmetol 2013, 16(3): 235-240pl  Amino derivatives of xanthone - synthesis and applications for human hair dyeingZygmunt Boruszczak Instytut Technologii Polimerów i Barwników, Politechnika Łódzka Summary The synthesis of 2-amino-, 2,7-diamino-, and 2,4,7-triaminoxanthone were carried out. These compounds were used in formulations of semipermanent hair color for dyeing of human hair in yellow. The efficiency of these compounds in human hair and wool dyeing and their color resistance were also evaluated. A greater intensity of the color was obtained for samples dyed at pH=5.5. The strength of the color obtained with 2,4,7-triaminoxanthone was particularly high. The dyed sample materials were characterized by honey-yellow color and relatively high light fastness and wash-off resistivity.
