Permanent makeup is an art of decorating skin´s surface allowing improvement of eyelids´ appearance, eyebrows symmetry restoration and correction of contour and color of lips. The aim of this study was to evaluate the aesthetic results of permanent makeup in the opinion of women who underwent the intervention, and to analyze complications associated with this procedure. Materials and methods. The survey was conducted among 53 women who underwent permanent makeup procedure. Survey questions involved demographic data, areas of the performed procedure and women´s opinions about its effects and potential complications. Results. Analysis of satisfaction ratings of the makeup showed that the majority of women (82%) were very satisfied with the result, 14% found the effect to be satisfactory, and only 4% - unsatisfactory. Adverse reactions after the procedure were observed by 51 respondents. Most commonly reported were reddening of the treated area (78%) and edema (75%). Conclusions. 1. In the opinion of women who underwent the procedure of permanent makeup, its results are satisfactory. 2. Implementation of permanent makeup has a positive effect on the assessment of self-attractiveness, confidence and well-being of individuals undergoing this procedure. The most common adverse reactions after permanent makeup are reddening and swelling of the area of the procedure. Key words: permanent makeup, aesthetic results, complications |
