Role of sensory signs in the evaluation of new products as an example of natural cosmetics Natural Cosmetics Laboratory Farmona

Summary
Introduction. Currently, natural cosmetics have gained great popularity both in the world and in Poland. For centuries, raw materials were used for personal care, but the rapid development of chemistry that occurred in the nineteenth century, led to the introduction of synthetic cosmetic formulations. The interest in natural resources returned at the end of the last century.
Aim. The main objective of this study was to show the sensory evaluation as a useful tool for improving the cosmetic products and quality control in the cosmetics industry.
Materials and methods. Sensory test was carried out using the method of evaluation of the profiles. Then an assessment of the consumer using verbal hedonic scale.
Results. Sensory analysis carried out on the three selected companies Natural Cosmetics Laboratory Farmona cosmetic line "SHIATSU" showed a positive assessment of all cosmetics tested. Received the highest rating peeling rice-cherry body in categories: effects on the skin, smell and assessment.
Conclusions. Sensory tests are performed to check the quality to be introduced new cosmetic and modified existing products. The method is based on the quantitative profiling impressions, is often used in research, in particular the storage to determine the stability of cosmetics. In the case of natural cosmetics is particularly important.
