Pharmaceutical and cosmetic materials, which can be used in skin´s and eye´s care materials were described. The difficulties with raised of "herba euphrasiae" from cultivation due to eyebright´s semi-parasitism were pointed. Nomenclature problems of Euphrasia officinale L., one of the species which is cited as one of the material´s source were described. As a matter of fact, this species has historical character now and it does not content any botanical value. In the event of cosmetic materials indexed in the database of cosmetic components of European Union called CosIng, which names are build based on E. officinalis name, there are no really information which species was used. Because of their abundant phytochemical composition, eyebrights are willingly using in the cosmetic industry as well as in cares which are perform in beauty parlours.
