Wojciecha Korfantego w Katowicach Summary Skin needling which uses special rollers called dermarollers, is a skin rejuvenating and regenerating technique used in cosmetology and aesthetic dermatology. It is a two-direction method, which on one hand enables the absorption of biologically active ingredients by deeper layer of dermis and skin and on the other hand takes advantage of wound healing principle as a natural skin ability to rebuild and regenerate. A series of treatments were performed on a group of 7 people (6 women, 1 men) of different ages (mean age 52 years old) and with various skin problems to show the results and efficiency of this technique in the study. The dermarollers were selected individually according to the needs and properties of the skin. The results of treatment were shown in the photographs and the look of the skin was described in details for each case. Improvement in skin condition, reduction of wrinkles, scars and skin firmness has been observed. Test results should be confirmed n high-quality therapeutic experiments on a larger number of subjects including control groups.
